Batik is an Indonesian technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth. This technique originated from Java, Indonesia. This technique creates limitless variation of patterns, with beautiful color combinations. Each Batch is only run once for printing, which adds a special uniqueness to every bolt. One easy way to identify handmade batik is by checking the "reverse" side of the fabric. The reverse side is visibly evident with faded colors, as only one side of the fabric is printed using a textile printer.
