Lemonade Shaker Card - Jenn

This is the Lemonade Shaker Card from Dreaming Tree. This card is simple to make, and a unique gift for summer parties. This card is made with a clear plastic sheet, so when you shake it the lemon and ice inside float around! Add glitter if you want for some sparkle.

Jenn used her Brother Scan'N'Cut to cut the cardstock and acetate sheet, then assembled with glue and double sided tape.

Cathy Climpson Concert Ticket Fabric Collage

What a cool idea Cathy! Thank you for sharing this unique creation with us, and your process.

Cathy choose a large piece of fabric to mount on the canvas, and the photocopied all her saved concert tickets and printed them on fabric (more on this later). Then she appliqued the printed tickets onto the fabric and added some other decorations.

Printing on fabric. There are two ways to print on fabric. First, you can purchase ready made printable paper, which can be pricey...or you can iron freezer paper onto the back of your cotton to be printed on, and run it through your inkjet printer.

Ask the Expert!

Last month we discussed when a full Bust Adjustment (FBA) is needed. This time we are going to talk about how to make one. Depending on your pattern, there are different way to make an FBA. For example, dart placement will change how you make the FBA, and if you are working with a princess seam that is a tutorial for another day.

For the majority of patterns, the process just takes a little time and practice. Yvette from Sew What Yvette has kindly shared a tutorial using the Jalie Rose Button UP Shirt Pattern. Be sure to check out her website and social media to keep up to date. We promise you won't regret it, Yvette is AMAZING.

See the full instructions on how to make an FBA here.
