Ask the Expert!

FAQ: My lower looper thread broke, and now it won't work properly. WHY?!

"The simple answer is: You have threaded your machine out of order.
Yes you may have threaded your lower looper correctly however depending on your model, the lower looper thread is typically the first or second in the sequence of threading your machine. If your machine is fully threaded and you find yourself re-threading just your lower looper because your machine is breaking threads, Try the following steps;
Step 1: Re-thread your lower looper
Step 2: Clear the needle threads but cutting them just above the eye of the needle(s), pull the threads out and then re-thread needle(s)
Step 3: Continue serging."

Name That Tool?

So you have heard of magnetic or adhesive seam guides before, but we bet you haven't had a chance to fall in love with the 6 in 1 Stick'N'Stitch Guide!

The shapes and edges of each guide foot makes it perfect for a multitude of sewing applications. The included grid template measures placement from the needle position and ensures that the stitch guide is always just where we want it.

So, how’s it used? Unlike other seam guides, the Stick ‘n Stitch Guide does way more than provide a single seam allowance. In fact its innovative design provides us with six different primary applications.
