KidStart Beginner Part 1

This project based beginner class for children 9 to 13 years of age will start them building a solid foundation in the world of sewing. Each project has been selected to focus on a different sewing skill, which progressively builds their sewing knowledge. On completion of this class students will have an understanding sewing machine safety and basic operation. Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine, but there are machines available for use in the classroom if necessary.

You will receive an email with information closer to date of class along with any class notes and other materials that you may need.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: For the kids who want to step into the world of sewing and learn fundamentals with different projects.
Materials Included: Registration does not include fabric materials. Patterns & materials sold separately at a discounted class rate
Requirements: Sewing machines will be provided for the students but if they are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine that is welcome. Students will be able to choose from a selection of fabric for each project. REQUIRED MATERIALS: Fabric scissors, good quality glass head pins and/or clever clip & seam ripper. If you do not have some supplies they are available for purchase at a class discount.
