KidStart (Beginner)

This project-based beginner-level class for children 9 to 13 years of age will start them building a solid foundation in the world of sewing. Each of the 2 projects has been selected to focus on a different sewing skill and students will complete this class understanding the basics of sewing machine safety and operation.
Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine, but machines are provided if needed.

You will receive an email with information closer to date of class along with any class notes and other materials that you may need

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: For the kids who want to step into the world of sewing and learn fundamentals with different projects.
Materials Included: Registration does not include fabric materials. Patterns & materials sold separately at a discounted class rate
Requirements: Sewing machines will be provided for the students but if they are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine that is welcome. There will be 2 different projects that will teach them the basics of sewing and students will be able to choose from a selection of fabric for each project. Classes are held in person so be sure to bring the following materials: Scissors, pins or clever clip & seam ripper. If you do not have some supplies they are available for purchase at a class discount.
