FAQ’s

I've got a 50 year old Singer sewing machine, can you fix it?

Unfortunately, we cannot answer those questions without seeing your machine. Bring it in and we’ll look it over, give you an estimate and go from there.

How often do I need to change my needles?

You should change your needle every 4-6 hours of use.

Where are you located?

We’re located in Newmarket, Ontario – Take a look at our contact page for a map!

Why does my old thread keep breaking?

Thread has a shelf life, eventually, it gets dried out and brittle and becomes easily breakable.

Can I leave my machine in my car for a few hours in the winter?

Sure! But if you’re going to sew with it, bring it into the house and then let it come to room temperature before you start to use it.

How often should I get my machine serviced?

The manufacturer suggests every year, but with proper maintenance, you can extend that to 2-3 years.
