During this two day sewing retreat you will be able to pick your own patterns to work on and get advice and guidance while you sew. Build knowledge, confidence and your wardrobe. Try individual pieces or maybe make a layered outfit. Patterns can be purchased in store or online at Jalie.com.
Lunch and snacks will be included.

We are so pleased to be welcoming in BERNINA Ambassador Tara Sinclair from Uh-Oh Creations into our shop for a two day bag making event! Tara is an accomplished seamstress and bag designer from Alberta, and will be teaching the Rio Covertible Tote on Thursday September 19, and the Colby Sling on Friday September 20, 2024. Register for just one day, or both! We hope to see you there, we know you wont be disappointed.
Lunch is provided both days.

Alexis Schmidt designer and creator of Oro Rosa Patterns is teaching for the first time this side of the Rockies! Two day retreat creating the Traudy Triangular Bag.
You have the option of staying at the hotel the event will be held in.
Pattern: Pattern needs to be purchased from Oro Rosa Patterns HERE for the event.
Prep Day: A mandatory prep day has been arranged that will go over cutting, interfacing and pattern grouping instructions. Date is Friday, June 9, 2023 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm (Eastern Standard Time)
What will be happening: You will be taught by Alexis the creator and bag designer. Sewing with other bag making enthusiasts, eating great food and enjoying the time away.
Date: Friday, July 7 & 8, 2023
Time: 9:30am - 3:30pm
Where: Aurora, Ontario, Canada
Registration cut off date is Monday, June 6, 2023.
Location: Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aurora
Double or single occupancy rooms. A special night rate will be given to those who decide to stay at the hotel, complimentary hot breakfasts and the use of the pool. A link will be emailed to you with accommodation information upon registration.
Cut off date for hotel booking is Monday, June 6, 2023, after this date we cannot guarantee room availability.
Event Includes: Breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Each sewist will have their own work station with enough room for your sewing machine, iron and cutting area.
Added Info: Sewists are welcome to leave their machines and supplies in the hotel venue. Security and surveillance will be on site.
